Perfect Posture Is Important  

Posture is important for good health. Good posture can help you  feel more energetic. It can decrease many of the minor aches and pains we experience. And it can help you look younger too. Poor posture can develop because of accidents or falls, which throw the spine out of alignment. Poor posture can also develop from poor working conditions or from bad habits such as slumping in your chair. Poor posture is unhealthy. Poor posture can crowd your internal organs and nerves decreasing the supply of blood and oxygen. Poor posture can lead to changes in the curves of the spine, causing misaligned vertebrae and nerve irritation. Poor posture can also upset the natural balance between the muscles and ligaments.

But the good news is that poor posture can be corrected. First, it’s important to check your posture regularly.  

Look in the mirror.  Are both your shoulders level?  Is your head or neck tilted? Then have someone else look at you from the side.  Are your shoulders slumped?  Is your head leaning forward?
